Do you have a Revolutionary War Patriot in your family tree? Someone who fought for our freedom, served in a civil capacity, or aided and supported the patriotic cause in other ways?
Any woman 18 years of age or older who can document lineal, bloodline descent from an ancestor who aided the cause of American independence is eligible for membership in the Daughters of the American Revolution. Patriotic service must have occurred between April 19, 1775 and November 26, 1783.

DAR boasts 190,000 members in 3,000 chapters across the United States and internationally. Any woman 18 years or older—regardless of race, religion, or ethnic background—who can prove lineal descent from a Patriot of the American Revolution, is eligible for membership.
